Clark Kerr Campus questions

My mom and I were arguing over how many items I'd be able to fit in my room @ CKC. It's a triple, and I plan to bring at least a fridge and a microwave on the first day of move-in. I've heard from a LOT of people that CKC rooms are the biggest (at least for triples), and I want to know if this is true. Also, has anyone lived in the co-ed areas and know if girls and guys really have to share the same bathroom? That's kinda freaking me out.

are the floors in clark kerr coed also?

They are big. My gf lived in a triple at ckc and she had a tv, fridge, microwave, treadmill, ab lounge, and like 6 chairs. You will have plenty of room. Some ppl choose to take apart the bunk and make 3 single beds in the room. You should still have plenty of room. And yes, girls and guys share the same bathroom. There are about 6-7 stalls and about the same amount of showers. Its kinda weird at first, but you will get used to it. And make sure you bring shower sandals.
And yes the floors at ckc are co-ed

she fit a treadmill in her dorm room!!! WOW, thats amazing. are the rooms THAT much bigger than unit triples? ive heard that ckc triples are only 1.25-1.5 times bigger than unit triples. and unit triples are tiny.

Ugh, I hated the unit triples during CalSO :( I feel bad for some of my friends who will actually be living there during the year. One of my friends, who's like 4' 11", took the top bunk during CalSO and couldn't even sit down straight.

Wow... seriously?! That makes me feel a little bit better then. =] I was planning to bring a 27" TV, but then my mom (who saw the unit 3 triples already) said it probably wouldn't fit. hahaha.

My parents were totally against me living on a co-ed floor, and my mom actually seemed kinda upset... Personally, my friend and I chose "either" on the application, not really thinking we'd actually be put with the co-eds. pfft. =P oh well. and haha.. already thought about the sandals. I hate stepping on icky tile floors...

ab_med- i heard the same too.. i guess that's why my mom was worried..

...it's the top bunk. Why would you even try to sit down on it?

She said her favorite place to study and read is on the bed (which is not uncommon...), so she sat up straight to test it out. I agree that maybe the top bunk isn't the best place to be doing that anyway (and of course there are always desks), but you can't help it if you have no choice, and it's your personal preference. Even if you weren't going to use the bed to study and read on in the first place, I still think the space is a bit closed in.
