Another college update! Out of the 5 college-bound guys (one is already at MIT - which he chose over Princeton), 1 has already been accepted by Harvard, 2 by Yale, 2 by MIT, 3 by Caltech and 4 by Columbia. Seven of those acceptances came by the form of likely letters, so us Clarkies are really at the top of the applicant pool :)

lol, none from stanford… imo stanford is by far the better school :P

Actually, we do have a Stanford admit. But iceui2’s post above refers to guys, and our Stanford admit is a girl :)

Specific is good, two pages is not. How many topics did you write about? o_O I’m trying very hard to stick to three (one primary, two secondary topics of interest).

@meganfoxftw: Oh yea the girls are pretty awesome too. And none of us was rejected from Stanford… RD decisions haven’t come out yet.

Anyways… let’s keep adding on to this list:

Aeschylus (English/History)

Apoc314 (Chemistry/Biochemistry)

swirlz (Biochemistry/Bio Sciences/Chem Engineering…and Music

momo899 (transportation/math)

erickkwangg (Chemistry/Science Education)

browndbaternerd (Math/Chemistry)

meganfoxftw (Chemical Engineering/EE)

sorry, off-topic: did you guys put your home or cell phone numbers on there? i don’t really want them calling home and telling my parents i’ve been rejected…

I gave them my home number, but I don’t really think it matters. They’ll probably email you when they’ve made a decision.

They call with acceptance decisions, so I suggest putting the number where they would reach you most easily.

(Why do I say that? Dr. San Francisco called my house three times and I missed all of them because I was out with friends. Awkward.)

He called my dad and he almost said “sorry, I think you have the wrong number”. x.X

… I stand thoroughly corrected :P

shoot, my part B is two pages as well… and I only wrote about two things. is that way too long? my narrative is shorter than a page.

@iceui2, hahaha, how did they notify you at the end? xD

my part B is only 1 page. part C… we’ll see. not started yet =P i’m so screwed.

haha making me feel bad here guys…my part B was half a page, in the space they provided. i didn’t go on to the next page.

i’m sure it was fine - and concise, which is probably more than can be said for mine. god, i feel like mine is WAY too long now! i guess i’ll go cut it down…

I think as long as you show your genuine interest for research in your chosen fields, length doesn’t really matter up to a point.

i like that we’re all still awake… haha i don’t know about you guys but it’s 1:20 here. just goes to show what kind of people apply to clark :)

12:30. Yay for being in the Midwest!

10:34 here… West Coast ftw.

BTW my part B is 930 words (~1.5 pages). It was slightly on the long side.

oh, one last thing… did you guys limit your school/community activities to… well, school/community activities? haha that sounds so stupid but i really want to include my musical accomplishments, even though they didn’t take place in school.

I have a couple of questions:

Do we need to include copies of AP Test scores?

If we have a recommendation from a research mentor, should we ask the mentor to fill out the evaluation form (which is for high school teachers) or just ask for a recommendation letter to be emailed to Dr. San Francisco?

Thanks for your help!
