Clark Scholars 2015

Haven’t heard anything yet, and it’s been so long after the first rejection. Sooooo nervous!

They’re probably going to release A-N rejections today. Also don’t forget there are like 400 applicants and only like 20 are on CC so for all we know, people have been getting rejected the whole day today.

Everyone should be on CC lol. Then we’d get more frequent updates. Oh gosh, I’m A…

I totally should’ve updated with my stuff…they would’ve helped a lot but oh well.s…

Shouldnt it be the latter half of the alphabet today? B/c the first person was had L is his last name

Oh right, nvm. I mistook literatechild’s post for hotmamanearyou’s. If that’s the case then I’m assuming that they haven’t decided the 12 people, they’re just revising and rejecting applications from the second cut applicant pile until they arrive at the last twelve candidates.

Hey guys does anyone know if someone rejected after the second cut has a possibility of being accepted if one of the 12 decide not to go? I think they narrow it down to 36 and then 12? I hoping I might be an alternate.

Anybody else receive anything yet?

Last name L. Still waiting on my rejection lol

Last name A. Still waiting on my rejection lol.

Many of us could have potentially already been rejected right? Since they don’t release rejections in waves?

@hk9928 I was under the impression they release rejections first though? And they’re already running behind…

Right, but hotmamanearyou probably got his/hers earlier because he/she requested it earlier.

The heck? I mentioned I need to know to book tickets to India. They need to understand finances.

@hk9928 oh right, gosh i’m so nervous i just want to know now. i’ve yet to actually get into an actual research summer program. :frowning:

@spacelover17 I guess maybe they’re caught between choosing you and someone else or something so they’re still delaying?

Lol yeah, I hope so. I’m getting so nervous too! It’s okay @literatechild, I didn’t get into a summer program either last year. What field do you want to do research in? If it involves using computers for data analysis, maybe you could do something on your own, or email and ask a professor to give you guidance with a project idea? That’s what I did as part of an online research course during the school year

@spacelover17 I put down biomedical engineering and ADHD research as my choices, but generally biomedical and cognitive neuroscience research all kind of interest me.

Ah. Lol I live near a Cleveland Clinic, so I was just thinking about how many opportunities there are abound for medicine alone :stuck_out_tongue: you’d be happy here lol. I’m more of a physics person though. I’d trade with you if I could

@spacelover17 haha nice. i live like a hour out of chicago, so in uchicago uic and northwestern should be abound with opportunity, but the professors tend to not want high schoolers unless they’re part of a formal program or have connections =/
