Idk since the rest of us haven’t officially heard anything yet, but it’s possible. It’s confusing though too, because in past years they have accepted students and told them they were still looking for mentors. So I’m not sure

They are currently finding mentors for people, and probably have about 36 (arbitrary guess based on past information) people to choose from (to whom they have not sent out rejections yet).
