When do results come out?
it won’t be until several months in april/march ^^ @Woandering
sorry may/april
Wow so late.
it wont let me save my work on the pdf. Do I convert the file to word first then edit and convert back or is there some other way? Please help
@tosterazn
If you have access to a Mac, use it on Preview. I cannot save it on Adobe in Windows either.
@Woandering I unfortunately don’t have a mac and I tried converting it to word but the formatting is so weird and hard to edit. Have you figured out something ?
@tosterazn
I used a Mac. I also emailed Dr. SF earlier, but he’s not responding.
@Woandering I needed to update adobe reader to the XI version. it works
Hey, I have a few questions about the application:
-
Under the college examination scores section, what should go in the “Test” and “Score” sections? There’s already slots for the SAT, PSAT, and ACT, so would I put my SAT subject test scores and ACT PLAN scores in the section? Or would I leave those out? (In that case, what would go in those sections)?
-
How did you guys / how are you guys going to mail your official test scores? I wasn’t aware that we could send official score reports to Dr. SF. Would sending him an online SAT score report that has an “This is not an official score report” watermark on it be fine? And as for the PSAT, can I just photocopy the score report that I received?
-
What does “Test scores are due February 9, 2015 by 5pm” mean? I interpreted it as postmarked by February 9 so I thought I could still mail them, but I just re-read that and now I’m thinking that it may mean that Dr. SF has to receive it by Feb 9th? I’m really worried now because I haven’t sent it yet…
Thanks. Good luck to everyone else who’s applying!
@SnowCookie
- Yes, put any test scores that you haven’t put already.
- Your school can send an official copy of your SAT and transcript. Although, if you mail it now, it’s going to be late.
- Yeah, I think it’s going to be late too. Mine will be a day or so late as well, so I’m hoping he’ll be a little lenient.
@Woandering
Okay, thanks for replying! I already requested for my school to send my transcript a while ago but I don’t think that it includes test scores (just grades) so I have to send those in separately.
And same for the lateness thing
@SnowCookie
You need the school to stamp/sign/watermark their version of the SAT score or an unofficial copy to make it official.
Just submitted, fingers crossed. Though I’m not holding out too much hope. >.<
Good luck to everyone!
@fairyfantasy
Not sure if you already answered this, but now that applications are in, I’m curious about the social scene during the program? Other than research, what did you guys do? Was there any interaction between the 12 scholars? Also, were you able to just chit-chat with the professor on related topics?
Just submitted my application, but I’m worried because I don’t think my recommenders have sent their forms yet… hopefully they won’t mind if they send it within the next week or so. Good luck to everybody!
@randomhouse
Website explicitly states that recommendations must be sent today by 5.
For the test scores section, it only leaves space for one additional test - did you guys put subject test scores? more than one?
I put two subject test scores that fit with what I wanted to study
Also, did anyone else get a confirmation email? I got a response from an “Irene Cox” telling me that they have received all of my application materials today.
