Clark Scholars Program!!

i applied - my subjects are chemical engineering (primary) electrical engineering (secondary)

anyone else applied to these subjects?

I applied for chem(prim) and physics(second

I applied under biochem and biology. I had four recs- biology, comp sci, debate/speech, college prof. Ah... my chem teacher got a 2 on his AP lit test. That + his weirdness took him off of my list.

How did everyone hear about clark?

someone from my school got in before...i also had 4 recs - math and 2 science teachers and my research mentor at a nearby university

i went with three recs
stats/precalc teacher, ap chem, and ap physics

I thought you could only have three recommendations?

You could have an additional one. They actually highly recommend a 4th one if it is from a mentor with whom you've worked at an university.

Oh gosh, I had no idea. I don't remember reading that piece of information.

me neither :/

when are applicants notified if they are accepted or not?

I think mid April- around 15-20th?

gah, i wish we found out sooner

oh and question for everyone that has applied: what were everyone's stats?

hmm let me dig out my profile.

3 minutes later

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/profiles/member_stat_view.html?user_id=225416

Though I don't think stats are a big deal for them. They are weighing heavily on career goals and recommendations.

well i wish you the best of luck

gregb–
if your profile isnt alluring, then i should probably just shoot myself now :)

it depends ALOT on your clas rank and your recommendation letters from what i have heard

as long as it doesn’t depend on previous research experience, I think I am fine

Class rank?! we don’t rank… I hope my transcript stands for itself.

haha thanks moll
