Clark Scholars Program!!

Yup, mid or late April from what Ms. Durham says. Lol, I thought I might've been able to catch the same hype that I see in RSI and TASP threads but I don't have any anticipation index or anything. I really want to get in, but...I just don't feel any anxiety, etc.

haha..same for me! unless it's like college or determining scholarships/test scores...i don't really care abt summer programs!

i care :)
but after my rejection from RSI, I'm much more calm and... I have a viable backup plan... I guess I'm expecting a rejection so it's not as nervewracking :/

lol i got rejected form RSI, accepted to SSP
i hope i get into clark because it sounds amazing...but then i would have to choose between ssp and clark (and maybe nj gov school o_O)

PKswmr- you applied to basically the same camps i did!!

i applied to this, one local internship and another one far away basically..I'll most likely go to the local internship..it's just freakn' amazing..if I can get in..def!

I myself need some serious money...thinking of working at JoAnn's.

haha..me too!

I'm sure we all will get the decisions from all the programs like at the same time and then we'd have to cram to take the right decision! lol.

Yeah...I don't think I'm going to get hired though. All my knowledge of calculus and chemistry doesn't really serve to impress people who are looking for employees with skills in scrapbooking, jewelry-making, pattern-making, etc..

I sympathize with those of you choosing between SSP, WTP, and this. Personally, I would choose this over the rest but that's only because of personal matters of interest.

lol, at all the times like now!! (AP testing!!)

well, you don't really have to have "knowledge" for any part-time job I should say..u can get started, and learn as you work! lol...but anyway.

Okay so apparently they started notifying accepted students around the 17th last year.. My problem is that the program that I just got into has a response date of 17th (well 18th, but it's like received by.. though the program is in the next town over). I'm asking for an extension on my answer, but I leave on my one and only college visit on the 19th... Do you think I should call Clark and ask them to contact me on my cell phone if accepted? lmao Or would that be excessive, considering the chances of me being accepted are slim..

Congrats!! What'd you get into?

If it were me, I'd just beg them to give me my decision early, lol. Not 8 days earlier, mind you, but maybe 1-2 days beforehand. It's a small program so I don't think there'd be that much controversy.

er i have a similar problem as classof09.
i have to pay for a summer class within the next few days...
would sending an email to the clark program encourage them to make decisions early? =P

I wonder if I even have a chance. Probably not.

eh that's what i'm thinking about myself =(

Same...

and NJGS Science..

I don't think Clark would give your decision early for reasons like this....em..u can still try to contact and see what they say, but very unlikely.

Well not early.. just I'll be away from home and... wouldn't be able to pick up the phone..

oh, yes...that shouldn't be a problem...that should be very possible...Ms. Durham is very responsive.
