Hello,

I'm stuck in somewhat of a predicament. I've narrowed down my 2 college choices to Clark University in Massachusetts, and UCONN. However, I'm dead stuck between the two and have no idea which one to choose. A lot of it comes down to tennis...which is my passion. However, I know that I want to become a teacher at the secondary level, and I know Uconn would be cheaper.

Pros of Clark:
-I'd basically be able to do NCAA tennis at Clark; I've been talking with a coach and I think I'd like it a lot
-Smaller classes than I'd get at Uconn
-Nice dorms: i visited, and liked what I saw as far as housing goes
-They have a program where there's a fifth year free for teaching

Cons:
-There's no way to sugarcoat this, but I've heard from various people that there are lot of "odd" people at Clark. I don't mean to offend anyone, and hope this is just a rumor...but it's just what I've heard.
-No real "education" program like Neag at Uconn

Pros of Uconn:
-There's a ton of school spirit, which I didn't see a lot of at clark
-I'd like the big time sports
-I kind of like the big-school atmosphere
-It's much cheaper-especially if I want to become a teacher, the Neag program is highly regarded
-I'm more familiar with it, a lot of friends are going there, and I like it already

MAJOR CON OF uconn: I would ONLY be able to play club tennis-this is kind of the dealbreaker for me

PLEASE share your opinions! Especially if you know something about the education program at either of these schools, or have any other suggestions.

Thanks!
