Clarkson or DePaul?

I want to study business and was curious whether Clarkson University or DePaul has a better business program?

Never analyzed their business program, but one thing to keep in mind about Clarkson is its location. It is **very **remote! A good 2 hour drive from the nearest major city (Syracuse), so I think a lot of students who would otherwise like the school for its programs, don’t even apply. My son considered it for engineering and really liked the school a lot, except for the location. But if you are a country kid, and if you like good access to skiing and snowboarding, you should check it out.

Where are you planning to live after you graduate? If its Chicago or somewhere else in the midwest, then go to DePaul. DePaul’s business program is especially well regarded here.

It sounds like you have two very different types of schools. DePaul is an urban school. Its residential campus is in Lincoln Park - one of the most highly desired neighborhoods in Chicago. (Hundreds of restaurants, nightclubs, bars, theaters etc. as well as million dollar townhomes) The business school is located in the heart of “the loop” - the downtown business district. You would need to ride the “El” (elevated train/subway) about 15-20 minutes into the loop for business classes - liberal art core classes are also offered downtown, or you can take them in Lincoln Park.
