@Hopefulaggmom ok, thank you for your response!
@ArrowGreen I was just skimming an older thread on PSA on another forum and I came across where an admissions person (who used to post there often) said they sent the info to the system school following the PSA decisions, so that would be this week. Then, it can take 2-3 weeks to get the admissions from the system school your selected.
Hope that helps
Have not but we contacted our school
That we are interested in and they stated that whatever schools that come up are schools you can attend. So that is good!
@Thelma2 yes it does! Thank you very much!
I accepted the PSA offer and selected the schools I want to go to. When will a&m send my information to the schools I selected?
@Theepicman15 I read from an admissions person some time ago that A&M sends the info to the system school the week after PSA decisions are released. Then it can take 2-3 weeks for the system school to process everything and reach out to you.
Do monitor it though and keep in touch with A&M/System school if you do not receive anything by then.
Congratulations! You’ll be an Aggie before you know it.
I selected all eight schools for PSA.
Does anyone know which one would best prepare me for CStat?
Majoring in BS Physics.
@LeStaphSergeant You could investigate each school as though you were doing admissions from scratch. Factors would be which is strongest in your major, size of school, location, cost of attendance, etc… Many of these schools would have physics, and the ones who don’t offer the courses you would need to transfer to A&M (assuming this is still your plan) could be taken off your list. If you need more advice about one or more specific schools, please write again.
@LeStaphSergeant I would say they are all weighted equally or it wouldn’t be an option (that comes across sarcastic, but not meaning to). If it were me, I would narrow it down to 2 or 3 based on what the school itself offers: campus amenities, sports, intramurals, club options, greek life, distance to home or a big city, location, or whatever is kind of your thing. Then visit those schools to see which feels right. Who knows, you may end up staying all 4 years because you love it there. I also suggest that you really immerse yourself into the school for that year so you can truly enjoy your freshman year. Such an exciting time!!! Keep us posted on what you chose please. I’m nosey!
I agree with @AggieMomhelp Each campus vibe is very different. Tarleton is a great school but because they have the animal science courses, it probably resembles A&M the most. They have a great football team. Several students from my city attend there and it is growing/improving in amenities. Stephenville is a cute little town and is in close proximity to Granbury and Lake Granbury and Fort Worth. West Texas A&M is in Canyon, Tx, by Palo Dura Canyon, just south of Amarillo. I have a good friend who teaches there as well as has a business on Historic 66 in Amarillo. Seeing the things he posts on Facebook of all of things they do makes me want to go back to school. They have quite a few D2 sports for men and women (football, soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, track,) These are the only campuses I am familiar with personally. Here is some breakdown of the universities.
The site listed below requires registration but it is free. It tells a lot about the universities for cost, location setting, diversity of students, etc. Explore all of the links and find the one best suited for you. Click on Student Life for the Diversity of each campus.

I got my acceptance from TAMU CC today. Has anyone else heard anything from their system school?
@Thelma2 I have reading your posts and they are really helpful. I’m new here, I don’t know how to send PMs. I have twin boys accepted at TAMU general engineering.
@momandhertwins Congrats on their acceptance. May want to go to the Tamu Engineering thread. Lots of good info there. If you have specific questions, you can just ask away on the thread and someone, most likely Thelma, will reply! Also, there’s an Aggie parent question and answer thread as well! Happy reading!!!
Thanks @AggieMomhelp.
