Class after AP tests

APUSH - movies, working on projects (i.e. chilling out and not doing anything in class), field trip ;D

AP Chem - just finished final, lots of labs, ... and more labs, mostly involving making/exploding things.

AP Stats - our teacher has a craps game set up on his desk, the rest of us play cards or go visit other classes/walk around campus/go play rockband in the yearbook room, etc. etc. oh and there's a project and something about ANOVA, haha.

here's what we've been doing in the 2 AP classes I'm taking this year:

APUSH: reading more boring articles, and now reviewing for the final (yes, we STILL have a final exam - my teacher's mean :( )

AP CHEM: I LOVE THIS CLASS! Basically, we've just been talking and bonding as a class. We've spent the past 3-4 classes making AP Chem T-shirts and sewing moles with Avogadro's number written on them, and now we're planning a party we're having over my teacher's party next weekend. <3

AP STAT: watching movies, or doing nothing...we just finished our final project (that we designed ourselves :D), so we're doing nothing now

AP CHEM: playing wii, making fudge, tie-dying shirts, watching movies, presenting cool labs for the 7th graders

AP Eng Lit: HARRY POTTER TOURNAMENT! We just had a quidditch (kickball) tournament this past Friday, and we're playing scene-it on Tuesday. It's awesome!

AP Micro Econ: We just had a fun field trip to the federal reserve where they print money, and now we're doing nothing...or things like playing the wii or cards

I LOVE SCHOOL NOW!!

lol, only after 4 years of pure torture do I say this

bio- talk about modern science issues in the news
env sci- we're building a 1/20 scale model of an eco-friendly house made from recycled materials
stats- carrying out an experiment and using tests to analyze the results
comp sci- designing various programs requested by teachers at our school (most of the involving databases)
physics c- having a balsa wood bridge competition

it's not as chill as it could be, but it's still fun

AP English Lit - Reading Lolita and discussing it in class

AP Comparative Gov't - some lameass project that i don't even want to do...

AP World - Absolutely nothing :D We just talk and eat and watch random movies.

it's definitely a lot more laid back than during the regular year...so far we've just been watching movies the past week but we're gonna be doing some projects and stuff soon.

anyone actually getting a final? :D

Movies, Movies and more movies. Just three more days of school!

Ugh, you people make me so jealous! At least I'm not gonna complain to all your schools' principals to make it stop (is exactly what happened at my school this year).

After the AP tests, I basically didn't attend class... because I never had one. :) Conquering more-than-normal multiple coursework without taking a class is always satisfying.

Last year we ended 2 weeks earlier so after the exam, we only had a week of school then finals. Now we have almost 3 weeks of school, then finals.

Bio: Movies/Yearbook Signing
Calc: Current Events Project/Movies/Yearbook Signing
Stats: Movies/Food/Yearbook Signing up until last class when people were complaining so now we're back to practice AP problems... AFTER the AP test.
English: "Film Unit", Casablanca, Citizen Kane, etc.

Spanish: Watched movies in Spanish ("Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" and "Pan's Labyrinth") and some days just had random conversations (still in Spanish of course)
Calc: Watched "Stand and Deliver" and "27 Dresses," then played games and just talked.
Art: Work on random art/do whatever we want.

At my school AP classes are exempt from a final exam for that class. Also seniors who have an A- or above are exempt from the final exam. Finals are all this week, but I don't have any (had a paper for religion and a project for English), so all I have left to do is wait until Graduation next week. It's a good feeling.

In AP Spanish, we only had 3 people in the class after the exam and after seniors left for senior projects, so the three of us (plus the teacher) walked to the starbucks down the street from our school everyday, drank coffee and spoke in spanish! :)

APUSH: Watching Gone With the Wind...have a project/presentation due in two weeks
English: Reading A Raisin in the Sun

Our AP USH and Eng Lang are co-taught, so for the block we can either do our history book critique (individual, mine's Making of the President 1968) or our Catch-22 project for English (group work).

My online Statistics and Chemistry classes post-exam consisted of a project and the final.

AP Lit - we sort of began reading and discussing Beloved, though my teacher knows that only a few kids will really do it.

AP Physics - nothing at all. My teacher's been cleaning out his room.

AP Calculus - Guitar Hero!

At least, until last Thursday... last day, seniors! :]

Bio-we played video games, dissected fetal pigs, and went down to the river by our school one day
UPUSH-we watched movies (13 Days, Dr. Strangelove, Mrs. Miniver, and Rudy... weird combo, I know!)
English Lang +Comp-we read "Their eyes were watching god" and watched the Oprah movie of it >.<
Latin vergil-we had study halls and went out for Thai food (there were only 4 people in my class...)

calc - watched stand and deliver, just talked and chilled with our teacher

chem - learning orgo, but at a mellow pace. its interesting and fun

comp sci - using the school network to play classwide unreal tournament

stat - playing craps, performing a study
