I would guess there is not a whole lot of flexibility in scheduling academic courses during the school year. Does the AFA use a type of block scheduling? How do they work electives? Are the choices up to the cadet or an advisor? How does this work?

There are ninety some odd hours of core classes. Freshmen will be taking core classes almost exclusively. Once you declare your major, you talk to your advisor for what classes to take. It is usually up to the cadet (the advisor will give input, but it is usually just advice).

Thank you, Raimius. Will the scheduling of cadets be in groups? For instance, do all the4-d's from the Flying Foxes have classes together, or are they all mixed in together?

Completely mixed.

How they perform on the validation exams can have a significant impact on their schedules and how quckly they finish some of their core requirements.
