So, would you guys take Calc I in the summer or fall? I already know pretty much everything in Calc I because i've taken it before. But, if I do take it in the summer there is a possibility that I won't be able to add Calc II in the fall. Any suggestions on what to do?

Also, would it be okay if I finished calc II by the spring semester for UC's?

This depends on your major and the particular UC you’re talking about. Also, if you plan on TAGing anywhere, will you have all the requirements done by the Fall?

Overall, despite the fact that we know nothing about you, I would suggest taking classes as early as you can due to CCs being incredibly full.

If you’re asking about if the content of Calc II will reflect things you learned in Calc I… as long as you understand the basis of derivation and integration, you should be fine even if you take it an entire semester after. Calc II is basically just extensive versions of Calc I (but integration). I would read up on trig identities when the time comes though.

Oh okay, that’s not too bad. I’m planning on UCLA, my uc-transferabble gpa will be a 3.87 and I will also have tap completed. I’m planning on tagging into irvine most likely. Don’t you just need a B in your major classes for tag?

I just looked up the tag requirements for irvine and you have until spring to complete all of the major pre-reqs, so i’ll be fine for that.
