I got through editing my schedule, and there is a red bar between Math and English. The bottom of the screen also says "The walktime from MTH to SQH at 9:20am Tuesday may take more than 10 minutes.". Is this really not doable within 10 minutes? While at orientation, I've heard some of the advisors say "There shouldn't be a red line there, it doesn't take that long." to some other students(probably talking about different classes). If it really is that much of a distance, I'll have to consider another schedule edit.

You should be fine, but you’ll have to be quick. I used to make the walk from the chem building to van munching in 12-15 minutes, but I was powerwalking. However, if you’re in a large lecture hall type math class, just peace out a minute or two early. you can also tell the professor what the deal is so he knows you’re not just being rude. alternately, tell your english professor you could be a few minutes late because of the walk. you’ll be fine–my freshman year first semester I changed my schedule for walking times, but never again after that, it’s just easier to get your dream schedule and make it work in other ways. good luck!

Here’s the link to TerpNav so you can see the walk for yourself:

I’m not sure that you’ll be able to do it in 10 minutes, but like just an aardvark said, you can talk to your math professor about leaving a minute or two early if you’re worried.

Thanks for the feedback.
