When we visited New School, we didn’t even tour Mannes as my S was clearly not interested in Classical. He ended up not applying.
Are there others still waiting to hear from Mannes, vocal admissions? I’ve been checking the website as you have instructed and there’s nothing, plus not email/snail mail. Not sure if that’s a good sign, bad sign or a problem that I need to call about.

Just to be fair I should share that my D was not offered admission to Eastman for VP, UG. I know that others in the future use this list as a helpful tool in their college search, so I think it is most useful to share all the results so that they would have a more complete picture. As an afterthought, I am glad it came toward the end of all the decisions, as having so many other great choices made it not as painful. Now just waiting on the financial info to add to the pros/cons list.
Thanks @intune …I had my own rejection last month (it was the first decision of either to come too so it hurt!) and it’s not fun, but it sure makes all the other choices more special 
Yes, thanks @intune. We were really pleased to receive an early admission decision from UNT. It gave our D a great sense that she had a solid option. We had the academic acceptance in December and the music school acceptance in mid February. It took a lot of pressure off the final auditions. At the end of the day, my D applied to 11 schools, got 6 auditions and 4 acceptances. Of the schools that didn’t give her auditions, most were schools where she hadn’t visited (CMU, Vanderbilt) or her test scores were a bit low for the academic acceptance criteria (Rice, McGill). But it was great to get an acceptance before any of the rejections came through.
Clearly, as others have emphasized, making the effort to visit, get to know faculty and demonstrate intent to attend if accepted are all key to the process. Then, of course, there is the simple fact that there are X number of spots in the studios and Y number of applicants in a given year, and you have no idea where your student fits into that equation.
Was just wondering if anyone has heard from Peabody? Anxiously awaiting this decision and one more…
Peabody is usually April 1. It was last year. You will get a letter via email. In the email there are instructions to access merit information online.
