Class help?

Senior year schedule should have me down for AP Environmental Sci. but I could probably get into AP Physics. I've never taken a physics class before and I see it more beneficial than Enviro.
Thing is, I don't want to have trouble my last year. I'll already be very busy with other classes and activities.

Any words of advice? Pros overshadow cons?
(Also, would taking AP Physics show universities a more rigorous schedule?)

i think it really depends on what you want to go into. if you are looking to go more into eco sciences then obviously choose environmental, but if you want to do some other really intense sci i suggest physics. I have taken a honors physics class before and i really enjoyed it. However, you do need to be good at math or at least like math, usually pre-requisite of calc bc.

Well what is your intended major? Can you list the rest of your schedule here too? And your target colleges?

I think that if you want to go into science, you should take AP Physics (unless you want to do environmental science but I’m not getting that vibe here). But if not, then just take APES and have a chill year.

Mostly looking at Neuroscience majors since it’s always interested me. Also, considering going a Pre-Dental course through university but seems too early to tell.

Taking AP Literature, AP Spanish Literature, AP Economics, AP Environmental science, AP Stats, and Teacher’s Aid.

Aiming at the UCs. Trying to stay in California.

I just feel taking AP physics would help me more in the long-run.

I honestly think that it will not make too much of a difference. With a schedule like that, as long as you have a high GPA, good EC’s, and a good SAT score, you will likely get into Cal or UCLA or at least UCSD. I don’t think taking AP Physics will tip it one way or the other. But if you want to do it, by all means go for it.

Of all the math and science APs, APES is the easiest for sure. Well, it depends on year teacher, but if you’ve done chemistry, then there’s not too many mathematical concepts to learn. Its practically labs and knowledge dump of scenarios worldwide, with some Al Gore.

If you like science, you could even have done it in Soph year
