Hey, I know this is probably a stupid question but its still something I need clearing up with. I'm still sorta new to this whole thing so yeah... please no smart remarks?

Anyways, I'm trying to set up a schedule for Winter Quarter and I want to take LTWS 100, but it says that I first need to take LTWS8A. The problem is that whenever I try to look for LTWS8A in class planner or in the schedule of classes it says that it doesn't exist. Same thing with a bunch of other classes I want to take like LISP1A/1AX So, does that mean that the class just isn't being offered that particular quarter or what?

look at old records from previous quarters; generally if it wasn't held a year ago it won't be held again this year. also, departments can change the course titles around so watch out for that (ie, THDA --> TDMV and ANLD --> ANTH within the last few years)

Astrina makes good points, some classes are sometimes offered fall of each year or winter of each year so look back for that. And also make sure that if you are using the "search" function to type LTWS 8A and not LTWS8A. Your best bet is to talk to a counselor though vac.ucsd.edu
