Class of '07 (whoop seniors!) applicants!

yikes! actual fist fights over college stuff...jeez, and I thought my gigantic public high school was competitive

All this competition in high schools is really unnecessary, because it usually just leads to cheating and other cheap methods of being on top. Almost reminds me of enron.

Oh, and the richest and best aren't the smartest, either; I love to tell people who are obsessed with grades this great fact.

yes, SLU is saint louis university.

wow college, I know a large number of people in shadyside.

epsilon - the smartest are the people with the highest grades.

nah, the smartest are the ones who find a way to get in, highest grades or not.

using your intelligence with your creativity to achieve your personal ultimate goals....is smart.

i agree with pipinghot! grades=/intelligence a lot of the time.

even if the tactics are "unethical"?

of course not....that's stupid...cuz first of all, that's a lack of self-dignity

LOL, the really smart kids are NOT the ones with the highest grades.

That is just an ignorant, head-up-one's-ass type of statement.

The most successful people in this word are ones that were a little smart, had great ideas, and worked hard.

I want you to look at the class that graduated from your super competitive HS from 8-10 years ago. See where they ended up. If it doesn't involve making millions a year, obviously they were not the smartest.

yeah most of our grads are super successful as long as they follow the track they are on...meaning there are a few here and there that lose their way and end up dropping out of college...but its actually pretty rare.

yeh, madamebovary...i should add a footnote to what i said before....the smartest are those who can get in in a morally justifiable way haha.

I'm reading madame bovary right now fer school...do you like the book?

i really liked madame bovary! and i usually am more of a mid to late 20th century lit fan.

i loved the book; however, i sometimes dont like how she is so emotional.

ehh, i'm not really that much of a fan of it....I can decide who to sympathize more with, charles or emma...

ok so what apps have you guys and gals finished?
