<p>A friend of mine who applied a couple days before me has a "contact office of admissions" in his decision box. What does this mean, anyway ? He won't be able to call till tomorrow after school.</p>

<p>He applied October 27th, like four days after I did. I haven't heard anything back yet. Mine still says pending decision. I'm not really sure about his stats really, tho. I was just curious about why they would want him to call the office of admissions. I just wouldn't think they would have him call and say, yo , you are rejected. I really hope he gets in. Known him for years and wanted him to be my roomate.</p>

did your friend contact the school? what'd they say?</p>
<p>He called the Admissions Office and they asked him a question about his application, and then they said, alright, your application is complete and is in the process of being looked at, and you should know within the time span of about two weeks. I hope he gets in; he's suppose to be my roomate up there.</p>

<p>I applied like Oct 17 and found out that I was accepted on Thanksgiving morning. It wasn't until today when I received the actual package though.</p>

<p>Just doing the stats thing because people want me to. Aaaand, my brother also goes to U of I, and I'm in-state. I guess you could also say my school is a "feeder school" since we have at lest 30-35 kids go there every year. ALSO, about 40 more kids apply there every year as a supremely awesome safety. </p>
<p>I also applied for the Spectrum Scholarship (it was due Dec. 1st) (4 years full paid). Anybody else?</p>

<p>hmm, didn't know such a scholarship existed. I won't bring much diversity though since I'm an in-state asian, haha.</p>
