I hope you fall in love with Wooster, as my family did three years ago. Our daughter is a happy junior now and has never had a moment's regret. :)

i'm not sure yet. i haven't heard anything from admissions about an interview. i'll email her in a little bit to find out what's going on, and let you know :)

My son accepted, with Dean's scholarship, using streamlined "select" application. We are looking forward to visiting the campus.

congrats krsii!

great news!

just received the email today from Admissions that i've been selected to interview for the tour guide position! i'll update further when i know more.

Good luck and I hope you get the job! I've said all along that you'd make a wonderful ambassador for the College of Wooster. :)

Ds got his acceptance letter today with a dean's scholarship. He was pleased and surprised with the scholarship amount. COW isn't at the top of his list so we'll wait and see what the other schools offer. He probably won't qualify for FA.

Congratulations! Hopefully, he'll get good merit $$ from his top schools as well. ... But speaking from experience (as a mom), Woo is a good place to be. :)

D got her letter today with the offer of a Dean's Scholarship as well and a nice handwritten note about her essay! She is looking forward to the chance to overnight since she visited the campus when classes were not in session...congrats to all!

yay! congrats Rachacha and Suzukimomto2 :)

Is the Dean's Scholarship something new? Three years ago my daughter wrote an essay for the College Scholar award, and got it, but I don't recall the Dean's.

I haven't seen anything about the Dean's scholarship either. Wooster used to have more detail about scholarships on their website but seemed to have changed the information. Meritaid.com still has info, but nothing about a Dean's scholarship.

Merit Scholarships

Dean's Scholarship is listed close to the Byron Morris/National Merit scholarships, and they do still have the College Scholar one as well.

Hmmmm I think that has been recently added. Interesting.

i've been thinking lately, and i think that i need to take a break from posting on here for while, as i've got work to do, and there are others on here that must know more and better than me. i'll check in periodically.

good luck to everyone.

Bless your heart, lamiller. Thanks for all the postings regarding Wooster. :)

Hindoo...

I needed to come over to this forum in order to give you my #1000

<-------------

You are a good soul, spidey. Where the heck have you been? CD awaits you. :)

You know, I cannot figure out how to get there quickly. I keep having to consult a piece of paper (which I then misplace). I did visit once, and didn't see you there. Had I seen you, I would have stuck around. :)

The assistant tennis coach my ds last week. That made an impression. Ds is also a volleyball player but there just aren't that many good schools with men's volleyball teams. The fact that the admissions office wrote they hope he plays his cello in the college orchestra coupled with the coach's phone call, have made him take more notice of Wooster.

He's also been accepted at Juniata and Hobart William Smith.
