Class of 2005 - Who got in!

Mishra..Your like 101% into IU..you applying for business..science..?? what for?? Well i applied by Nov 1st and they made their dsecision by December 1st!!! so u;'ll prob hear from them late jan!!:P Good luck!

I got in! I wasn't really surprised. Now I just have to audition for the music school... scary. That's a lot less predictable than the academic admission.
When do you hear about scholarships and honors college invitations?

Well it all came in the admissions package!!

Hey tamy, guess what, I applied to Indiana Bloomington as well(yet to recieve word on admittance), but I was also accepted to UIUC. Funny thing is I too was born in Africa. Smaller world than u think huh?

tamy, so it did! I was just looking at the online acceptance. I got my honors college invitation today, and they say they're sending a scholarship application.

hehehe..congrats fiddlefrog!!
Soul Brotha - How ironic! where in Africa where you born..!?? hehehe!!! You gonna go to UIUC...what other schools you applying to and what were your stats if you dont mind me asking?!?!

hey......i got admitted too......pretty quick.....applied business(finance).....when do we hear from Kelley if ive got Direct Freshman Admission???.....and when do we hear about scholarship???.....btw is UIUC better than IUB???

Well in terms of Top public schools, yes it is..Business Program wise im not sure cause that's not really my major field so im not sure about the stats...but Arts and Science, Engineering and overall, UIUC is ranked liek No. 10 in the US news in terms of Top Public Schools!!:P

Hey Tamy. I was born in Nigeriif you wanted to know. I got into computer engineering over at UIUC and probably will go there. I have a 3.7 gpa and recieved a 27 act score(proud of it too) with some AP classes here and there. I applied to UMich and Penn State as well, but havent heard anything from them yet (most likely wont get into Umich). Anyway, if u end up going to UIUC, that would be cool.

Nicee...!! I also applied to penn State!!:P Got in already..im sure you will to!:P Hood luck with that..and who knows maybe i'll see u at UIUC next yr..!:P

Hi, fiddlefrog,

My son just got his email acceptance to IU, but he is also hoping to get into the Music School. He sent them a tape, since we live too far away for him to audition there. (and can't manage air fare for all the places he is applying) His band director graduated from IU, so he is naturally encouraging my son to go there.

Good luck on your audition!

dude, if you get into UIUC and IU, choose UIUC.

Depends what your going for. If your wanting business go to Indiana University. If you want engineering, go to UIUC.

Also, if you want art, music, complit, foreign language, hist.+phil of science, english, econ, or philosophy, go to IU.

Also for mne what plays a huge factor is the amount of Aid i gett!!

For those of you who were wondering, letters of direct-admit into Kelley are being sent now. I recieved mine today. Im in a dilemma right now, trying to decide between UIUC and IU right now. I got into the business schools of both, but IU is offering 30k. Im still waiting for UM and Cornell though.

xero- can you tell me your stats again? Congrats on your Kelley admission and the $30K. Awesome.

I received an e-mail yesterday that I got in.
I will most likely go to UIUC

Yeah, I feel your pain...like IU is already offering money!! AHH...like i'll just have to wait till Financial Aid package gets to me form the various schools!
Btw did anyone make a payment for housing just incase they end up going?

I was pleasantly surprised by the results. If I remember correctly, I didnt send any rec's or additional info (dont thin i even sent any essays?) to Indiana, as it was a last second safety/match choice.

Stats:

1430 SAT I
700 Writing
710 Math 2c
720 US History
3.7 W. GPA (my biggest weakness)
Top 10% of class

EC's:
Nothing spectacular;
4 years high school soccer, 2 years as captain
various church activities

U Mich is a slight reach for m since I applied late (early Jan.) and Cornell is a super reach, but I think i'd be content at any of these schools.
