<p>For those of you that got into a really good school, but had only decent grades/test scores, what were some possible hooks that got you in?</p>
<p>Write an amazing essay. I can't stress it enough.</p>
<p>Essay, check. I was hoping that could be a good hook...everybody tells me I can't get into highly selective schools bc I don't have a hook.</p>
<p>Quit stressing about a god damn "hook" and view your application holistically.</p>
