Class of 2006: Colleges?

I'm a junior who's curious what colleges other juniors are planning to apply to next year?

I'm looking into Columbia University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Pennsylvania.

Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, West Point, University of Virginia, William and Mary, Virginia Tech

ilovetocamp: That was quite a quick response! :)

I'm looking at UC Berkeley, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, Rice University, and UT Austin

colleges? >_<

well, i'm considering applying to WashU, Berkeley, Rice, UChicago, Stanford...

uchicago uchicago uchicago

oh and some of the uc's too i suppose....

Berzerkeley, UCLA, UWash, JHU, and hmm...

Next year I'm applying EA to Harvard

RD to all of the other Ivies, Williams, Stanford and UC Berkeley

EA to Stanford (third choice)

RD to Cornell, Princeton, Caltech (first), MIT(second). (no EA for internationals)

Also, Michigan, UIUC, and Berkeley.

Pretty cool story I heard today: One of my friends, who is a senior and about 6'3 has never played organized basketball in his life (he can play a little, but he's never actually competed) and he's getting recruited to Caltech's basketball team.

Haha. You're not obligated to join the team once you're there, but Caltech is not going to recruit you if you didn't sign up in the first place. So I guess he (himself) showed the interest in playing, and not them. :P

reaches (depends on what i get on my SAT actually): stanford, mit, berkeley, caltech, georgiatech, u of ill, jhu, duke
other: UF
--subject to change--

princeton, stanford, yale, wustl, and perhaps wesleyan are my top choices right now.

wayyy tooooo many schools on my list
going to take forever to narrow it down
but some choices:
MIT (first choice)
CalTech
Cal
UCSC
UMich
Stanford

All I have on my list as of now are reaches: Princeton, Yale, Georgetown, and Brown

Does anyone else find it interesting that most of these are top universities (as opposed to LACs)? Also, most people seem interested in the sciences.

These schools were mentioned multiple times:
MIT 3
CalTech 3
UMich 2
Stanford 6
Princeton 4
Yale 3
WUStL 3
UCB 5
U of Ill 2
JHU 3
Duke 2
Chicago 2
Rice 2

and i noticed the science thing also. well, i'm actually doing engineering but i have a passion for science

Sorry about that! I was worried that I would make a mistake!

i'm not surprised that most of these are top universities. just look at the people who come to CC.

that's true. but it's also a possible indicator that we are overshooting. like me =). i'd really like to see a stat analysis on acceptance rates on ppl who use cc vs. the general public. it'd probably give me false hopes, but w/e. it'd be interesting anyway.
