Class of 2009 Hopefuls

My stats aren't very good, so I think you'll get in wolfstslasher. my SATs are 1290 (700 v. 590 m), SATs are 690/650/600, and my gpa is 3.25. I row, and did talk to the coach, but am not especially good. I was so surprised, I thought it was a mean joke or something when the woman called. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!! But I think my stats were one of the worst of this forum, so you shouldn't worry....Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey i have a question-

do you live in the area around bryn mawr? i live in new jersey so i'm a bit confused as to the times of everything on the forum. congratulations again. i'm really nervous because i haven't recieved a phone call, does this mean i didn't get in?

I live in Columbus, 8 hours from Bryn Mawr but still relatively "close". I think the forum time is 2 hours behind EST, so...yeah.

As for the phone call, I haven't gotten one either! :\ We still have a couple days, but if we haven't heard by Monday, I'm guessing we're not going to like the outcome!

Maybe they're going in alphabetical order or something...I wonder what the 1st letter of the last names of the girls who have heard are. If it's past M I'm screwed :P.

You're probably right about the alphabetical thing, cause my name is in the begining of the alphabet

Yes! Not all hope is lost.

And congratulations, BrightEyes! What was the first thing you did when you found out you were accepted?

And what exactly did the Bryn Mawr rep say?

hey, i'm an M too. Let's hope they're going alphabetically! I live only two hours away (in New Jersey)

Keep your chins up, everyone.

p.s. - anyone go to the fall preview days?

Good luck AM341! Be sure to post when you get your call so I'll know to start crying...haha. They should do it alphabetically, right? I mean what other way is there? Maybe it's alphabetical by region.

I'm going to be gone half of tomorrow night and all of Saturday too! What if they call?

(I'll be gone for an interview at Cleveland. What if driving all the way up there is unnecessary? Worse, what if it IS necessary?) EEK!

Wow, I'm glad you two got in, but you've made me reallly anxious! :)

Ahh! BrightEyes, I somehow completely missed your post up at the top there! Thanks for it.

Is your gpa weighted? Because mine is 3.39w and it's awful. I messed up pretty badly my freshman year and have been kicking myself ever since.

Now all the things I've been worrying about are coming back to haunt me...like how I want to major in French (and BM knows it) but I had a teacher whom I didn't get along with so I got a B in honors...stuff like that.

Okay, I need to relax, do hw and stop making you guys listen to my whining!

Hey I think I might apply ED 2 (hopefully), i still have to go for my interview. I think that'll def. increase my chances. I live very close to Bryn Mawr-40 minutes without traffic. I hope my sat 2's turn out ok! Good luck 2 all and to all a good night! lol im tired...

Good luck with everything, michele!

Thanks you too! Don't give up yet :)!

Ouch, rejected outright!

Oh well girls, guess I won't be joining you in August. Good luck to everyone though, especially michele, since she hasn't heard yet.

Aww... I feel your pain. I wish you best of luck with your other apps.
love
Michele- ur cc friend :)

Thanks, good luck to you for January!

wow, i just saw your stats... I'm doomed, I got a 1120 SAT :(. You have 7 AP's, I have 3... It's okay, I'll still apply, but just for kicks.

My grades suck though, and you have like a 4.0.

Plus BrightEyes had lower stats than me and was accepted.

Do not despair! :)

I won't :)! I hate this weather, it is so cold where I live today. I'm freezing!

Yeah, it snowed, really snowed here for the first time today.

I know it's ridiculously early....but has anyone thought about dorms? I read 70% of the rooms are singles, does this mean freshmen live in dorms as well? Which is better?

On my tour they said most freshman have the double dorms so they can get to know someone going through the same things moving in as a freshman. Also all grades are in each of the dorms. I loved the dorms I saw, my tour guide's room (a senior) was HUGE for a single. They are all really nice and each is unique.
