Are you planning to reapply to USNA, or go the NROTC route to completion?

I ask this because it is my understanding that the medical stuff is good for two years. That means that if you reactivate your application, maybe the medical people will review it more fully as it is at the beginning of the application process rather than at the end. (Not your fault, I know, just a fact of the medical rebuttal process.)

I wish you well, whatever your decision.

Bria...Good luck at UCLA! Sounds like you did all that you could from your end but I understand your frustration. As we understand it, the NROTC units can forward a rec to the Academy if you reapply. I don't know if they have the ability to nominate...does anyone on this site? I hope that you will be in 2010 if that's what you want. Sounds like your unit may not want to let you go though! Best of Luck! JM

Bria- I said the admissions process was fair.... I never said it was perfect. Sounds like you did everything you could....
If it continues to be your dream to attend the USNA then by all means try again....having your paperwork in early for this go-round may offer an opportunity to have it considered again when there are less applications on the table....
If you are so frustrated by this expereince that you cannot give it another shot, then put it behind you and be happy at UCLA...it is a great school and keep in mind there are many roads to a naval career if that is where you are headed!
Best of luck!
