Is it really our turn to apply?!?! (Wow, talk about whiplash!) Go 2009/2013!!!! :) :)

Anyway, I think all schools are reaches so I'm not going to fluff this post with "definite safety schools" when nothing is a safety, or a sure bet, today.

So...in order of preference...

SCEA Yale (If I get in, I won't be applying anywhere else.)
Dartmouth
Harvard
Princeton
MIT
Columbia University
UPenn
UVA (In-State)
College of William and Mary (In-State)
University of Richmond
VCU (In-State)
Virginia Tech (In-State)

Reaches: Pomona, Davidson
Matches: Dickinson (EA), Lehigh, Lewis and Clark, Pitzer (stats match, but based on acceptance rate it might be a reach)
Safties: University of Mary Washington, Ursinus

i agree with whoever said that the ivies are going to .5% acceptance rate next year... good luck to all.

Bananafish9: I'd like to mention that SUNY Binghamton is no longer a safety, especially for the HS class of '09. A kid I knew in '08 was 7th in class, did 3 sports (captain of all the teams), 2000+ on his SATs, had a bunch of ECs, and got deferred from there EA. He ultimately got in, but getting deferred with those stats = no longer a safety. Match... I'll give you that.

I'm applying to:
Harvard
Columbia
Williams
Bard
SUNY Binghamton (IS)
Wesleyan
Skidmore
Vassar
Syracuse (maybe... I have to visit the campus)
and probably Oberlin, Franklin & Marshall, UC-Berkley (toying with it. I'm OOS) and Hobart and William Smith.

Half of these schools I have familial connection to. Hopefully it works in my favor.

I have updated my list since two months ago:

EA
Yale

RD
McDaniel (safety)
UVA (In state)
William and Mary (In state)
Richmond
Rochester (legacy)
Wake Forest
Duke
Cornell
Washington U in St. Louis
Harvard
Possibly UCLA (gag with guidance counselor)
