Class of 2010: 1,260 students, after 38% admit rate, 34% yield

<p>It is a little bit of a relief that the admit rate did not drop as much as indicated earlier. I think it gives the admissions folks a lot more leeway if the admit rate is a bit higher, and makes for a better overall class in the long run. It says something about U of C that is as highly regarded as it is with a 38% admit rate.</p>

<p>May projections ae always different from the hard numbers in September, after waitlist action, "summer melt", etc.</p>
