<p>just for fun add yourself to this thing if you are applying to MIT EA or RD as a member of CC.</p>

<p>Might be fun to see who from CC applied at the end of this year's admission cycle and from where they applied.</p>

<p>Seems I'm the only one from Vermont? Does MIT try to fill any quotas based on state? Like will they try to take at least one person per state so they can claim that all 50 states are represented?</p>

<p>No, they do not have any quotas by state. You may be interested in viewing the most recent chart of geographic distribution of students to see how your home state (or country!) is represented in the student body.</p>

<p>(There are currently 12 undergrads and 11 grad students from VT at MIT.)</p>

<p>Those are pretty scary numbers. I'm estimating about 15 kids will be accepted EA from my state of population ~16 million.</p>

<p>Well, 415 students from New York.
12% of that for EA admission is about 50 students.
Not too bad, I guess.</p>

nice to know you guys. I'm newbie of this forum. I'm applying to MIT for RD (obviously cuz they dont allow international students apply for ED). I just got my interview this afternoon... OMG, I cannot concentrate right now, just cant keep thinking about it... Hope i will get it.
