Class of 2010 - Parents

Again, many thanks to Chris'Dad. Yes, you definitely answered my question. It sounds just beautiful. Our family loves to hike in the summer, so that a location in the mountains sound great! I'll keep checking back on this thread as your kids go through the program. This school will definitely be on our "hit list".

Just wanted to update. D is loving it at Shenandoah. She is really happy, keeping very busy, growing and learning. I just remember what we were going through last year at this time....good luck to all of you starting that journey. Try to relax and enjoy your senior year! It goes by so quickly....too quickly. Winchester is beautiful, just as Chris'dad says. (But, what about the comment it is not PA....hmmmmmm. :) I'll send pictures of our views!) D has been home twice, just went back down on Tuesday from being home for fall break. I still miss her terribly, but we do talk, or im, daily. She adjusted very easily...which made it easier on me! The people there are truly remarkable.
Just wanted to update! I am looking forward to hearing how everyone is doing!

Hey Notfromme and all. Wow how time flies! Sorry I have been out of touch and not staying connected to this thread page. Hope everyone is doing well, and the reports from SU sound like the MT kids are doing great too. Regarding the "PA" comment, that was not about beauty, but more about weather and temperatures. PA, NY and the rest are great for scenery, but they are a bit colder . . . YES?

I have found Winchester to be just about the right distance. I mention dinner on a Sunday afternoon and I usually get an invite to come up that evening. Phone calls have been more frequent these days, and yesterday I got to meet up with Chris at the Kennedy Center while he was helping Margie do some recruiting a a college fair. I even got to throw in my own two-cents worth with parents of prospective student interested in a parents perspective. It was agreat way to spend a couple of hours on a rather dreary Sunday afternoon, help champion the school, and see my son too.

Opera is coming up!

Got to run,

Chris'dad

Yes, we are definately a "bit" colder...like now, 38 degrees i believe!! And being in higher elevation does not help!! You are absolutely correct. (hope you know I was just kidding about your remark in last post!) Looking forward to having d home! I will be six weeks apart...the longest ever in her life! Will be glad to have her presense felt around here!! She LOVES it there so much. I am happy for her...just signed up for second semester classes...time flies. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!
