And I wrote that after finding him dissing Cornell in Another thread...

bball why don't you get a life.

I have quick question, is it possible to switch colleges after transferring in, and if so, how hard is it?

You might have to go on the 5 year plan for that...

it's possible, usually not hard

Really? That's cool (I've thought about it before but I doubt that I would do it). It's just overwhelming to have so many colleges at Cornell lol

it's possible, but dont do it unless you want to switch majors entirely. Dont forget, you can take any class at Cornell, and as an ILRies, you can take a bunch outside of ILR.

Say you're interested in chinese but dont want to major in it. Just take a few classes in it, you can regardless of what school you're in.

Well I'll be transfering into ILR, but I am also interested in the Hotel School (but like I said...not enough to override my interest in ILR, so I'll probably just take some classes in Hotel. But then with studying abroad and catching up to non-transfers I donno how many classes that can be...I wish I could make a concentration in it lol, but I know it's probably impossible).

as long as you take the right classes at your other school, you'll only spend a semester or two "catching up"

most transfers study abroad, internships, stuff like that with no problem. It only becomes a problem if you want to graduate as early as possible, but i dont suggest that

Pfft no way will I try to graduate early. I'm going to try to utilize every moment of my time at Cornell

is it possible to transfer into cornell through the agriculture college and then switch to the arts and sciences in your soph or junior year. Im wondering because the agriculture college accepted far more transfers than the arts and sciences college

One does has a GT program and the other doesn't is my guess...can anyone verify this?

firebirdt - expect to spend an extra year at Cornell if you're approved of a transfer.

note: you wont be admitted if you apply to the ag school but have academic interests in arts and sciences. Admissions does a great job of snuffing out students who have this intent.

i agree with bball. Cornell is standing still.

since i'm an architecture student, i don't know much about the other colleges at cornell, but one thing i know is that cornell's architecture program is no way below par and is one of the best programs in the nation. i'm sure the other colleges are like that too.

Ya Cornell's Architecture is on top, as are many of the other colleges
