<p>I doubt that's the case since the applicant pool jumped like 13%. They are always slow in updating stats. They released their 2009 stats pretty late last year also. Either they are short of people doing that or it's not their priority. Maybe they don't think they need to show off their numbers to validate themselves or impress others. :)</p>
<p>I'm in the class of 2010, at the deans convocation they said the admission rate this year was 11% Lowest northwestern ever had.</p>

<p>No. The acceptance rate was around 28%</p>
<p>30% actually-according to the Northwestern daily. I believe it was in one of the 1st weeks editions in Sept.</p>
<p>yeah, they overaccepted this year, 18500 applicants or something when usually they get like 15,000 and their acceptance rate stayed the same.</p>
<p>Just be glad you aren't applying next year, having to deal with the consequences of that.</p>
