sorry!!! i just came home cuz i was in the computer lab at school cuz we are workin on a poem project. hm i cant tink of any funi stuff cuz im more of a spontaneous funny guy but ooo open mic night i could imagine myself doin tat but jeez im gona have stage fright cuz wut if im not funy or i screw up?? id like to do some community service stuff cuz tats what im interested in and possibly intramural sports? heh what does the letter h mean? i dont get it :(

Check out your post...tink, tat...see a missing letter??

heh everyone at school always gets the IU mixed up with other midwest schools and they keep makin fun of me and saying things like: so you decided on goin to iowa? others say so you goin to illinois or ucla? and others are like, you're goin to INDIANA!!!!!!!! sigh, nascar hicks and im like no its not well not 100%.... and one guy even said, hey man its not like california, theres more racists over there you gota watch your back man and im like DUDE this is the 21st CENTURY its a BAD thing to be racists now!! and yes, mi nickname now is Indiana Boy or farmer boy and they all think ima graduate from the business school and sigh, get an internship on a farm.... sigh sniff sniff if they just researched indiana they would know its not a joke of a school :(

OOO i get it, yea im missin an h in think but heh tats how i spell think on the computer :)

Calcruzer, since they're only admitting eight students maybe they can ALL get single rooms! (kidding, my son wouldn't want one) You, too, get an A for following directions.

GBAMom, I knew you would get it because you're so sharp!

Dcho, now dropping your h's is just lazy! Or do you think the rest of us are going to pick them up for you? hehe...

Get used to it...you're going to run into ignorant people your entire life. Pay no attention to what other people think or say...it'll drive you nuts. Once you get to IU, everyone will be on the same page. No worries...you've made an excellent decision.

heh hopefully, im just nervous as heck in adjusting to a totally different environment, ive visited but the only states in which ive stayed for a week or more are nevada and arizona... yea

GBAMom is right, Dcho. There's nothing to be concerned about. You've got people coming from both coasts and the midwest and everything in between. Everyone is going to be nervous - it's a new experience for you freshmen. You'll get along fine with people. You're funny and helpful and you seem to be outgoing, so I don't tink (haha) you'll have any problems making friends and having a blast.

It's certainly understandable that you'd be nervous. That's very normal. Unlike your Cali peers, I commend you for getting out of your comfort zone. The Midwest is one of the easiest places in the country to feel at home and be welcomed by friendly, down-to-earth people. From the personality you've conveyed online, I'm sure you'll have no problem making the adjustment.

Isnt the midwest all flat with no mountains? Thats got to be depressing. Im lookin out my window right now at the Pacific Coastal mountain range. I will miss it dearly.

Hey GBAMom, Im one of his Cali peers.

Wow... I got excited that there were 3 pages. I thought there were a ton of people going to IU! But it just turned into the other thread.

As one who lived in CA, I have to say that you're right. The midwest is flat and compared to other states, can be boring. I miss the beauty of CA, but not the boring weather. What we lack in beautiful terrain, we make up for with beautiful changing seasons. And the campus is gorgeous. The more I see of it, the more I wish I was the one going. I think you'll get used to it quickly, and will come to appreciate it in time.

How is Bloomington for a college town?
