Class of 2010 Senior Year Chat Thread

If my school had AP Gov, I wouldv’e taken it in a heartbeat.

Your school doesn’t have it? lolololol

Does your school have like 50 people in a grade?

That’s one of the dumbest things I have ever heard of. AP Euro but no AP Gov? I could see AP Gov and no AP Euro but not the other way around. Gov is much more useful than jamming a bunch of European names into your head. Your school is weird.

My school actually has about 400 people per grade. It just kinda lacks on the AP courses which kinda sucks. I’m only taking three this year which pretty much blows compared to CC standards, but whatever. The ironic part? My private school offers less AP’s than my public school, and they have AP Gov.

I’m only in 3 AP’s as well. But that’s just cause I’m lazy and don’t want to work this year.

I still think it’s insane that they would have AP Euro but no AP Gov.

@ hatersunite: I am in AP Gov, my high school has about 2500 people, but this is only the 4th year the class has existed…and it is def. better than AP Euro, from all that I hear from the people in that class. AP Gov is pretty sweet.

I’m taking AP Art History and my school offers AP Gov and I’ve never taken it. I must be really insane. LOL

My school doesn’t even have AP World History, just Human Geo, LAMEEE! Well anyway I’ve barely studied for my test tomorrow but I don’t care I’m sleeeepy.

Mine doesn’t have AP World History, just AP Human Geography (isn’t it the same thing?) The APs not offered at my school:

AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
AP World History
AP Environmental Science (Cut this year due to lack of interest)
AP Languages except French and Spanish.

I don’t care about any of those since I’m not interested in any of them.

I love AP psycology…we eat cookies all day and just chill, and I guess almost every student gets at least a 3 on the exam

ap art history is soooo exhausting. ap bio is fun.

ap euro is also relatively easy and we have the best teacher ever. today she started off the class by telling us that we didn’t need administration or teachers, that we were better off studying/learning by ourselves. Everyone went crazy, and we heatedly discussed it for 10 minutes before our teacher broke it off and told us that it was just to make us see what a realistic reaction to Martin Luther’s new theology would have been like. She’s awesome.

@ hatersunite: My school doesn’t have AP gov, but many people who take AP US history self study for it and usually get 4’s and 5’s. This is at a school with 2000 kids, to put it in perspective. I guess they overlap a lot?

Sunday into Monday all nighter. FMYLIFE

This year sucks azzzzz.

I do not have school today! :D

Why does everyone here always say AP Gov when they mean AP US Gov? Does no one here go to a school with AP Comparative Gov? My school just got US Gov, we had Comp Gov for years and years before that, so I thought everyone here was taking about Comp for the longest time.

No school either!

Millancad, I know my school doesn’t have Comparative, but a teacher will do after school sessions for the AP Comp Gov test for those who wish to take the test. I think it’s because US Gov seems to be more popular and people just immediately associate AP Gov with US Gov. I know I do.

I was pretty psyched for no school today…until I remembered that I still had to go into work :(

I have only 1 week of Cross-country left in my whole life!

I really don’t like allnighters …

Haha, I remember being in high school and totally hating it. College is much more fun, but there are a LOT of things you should know about college life before you dive in clueless. I am currently a student at UC Berkeley and I wrote and published a book on what I learned in college. This book is not only hilarious, but is very informative. It’s called 100 Lessons That I Learned In College.

You can order a copy of the book at:

haha, today we had a “mental health day”…everything got cancelled. Still ended up working and spazzing out, though.
