Class of 2010 Senior Year Chat Thread

Cacciato, I am. Read post 16.

I’m taking 5 AP Courses, trying to start my own club, being senior class treasurer, in jazz band, marching band, concert band and show choir band, taking the ACT, taking the SAT, taking two SAT II’s, and applying to 12 colleges.

Yay!!!

“god i actually just want to fast forward to college than HS”

Why?! Senior year is the best part! The freedom of an adult (virtually) without the pain of having to pay bills/tuition/taking care of yourself—freedom without responsibility, lol =D.

I hear ya Skywalker23.

I’ll be taking 6 APs and might try to start my own club (no one really has done it before in the past so I have to figure out how and if I’m not too lazy I will because I have everything else going on), will be retaking the ACT, studying for it, studying for SAT II Math II, working at my job, the hospital, the children’s home, and the zoo and freaking out about college things. If I don’t get in ED I’ll have to apply to around 10, maybe more colleges, too. F our lives.

School starts for me on Sept 3 hahaha but yeah, Senior year is going to rock and suck at the same time. 5 APs and good friends, and college apps. I hope I get to sleep for at least 3 hours a night

2010 is definitely where it’s at.

14 more days (August 18) till school starts :(

I better get AP Latin back on my schedule (Stupid school)!

Woo class of '10!

About a month ago I was really excited about the prospect of college and whatnot. But now that I’ve started looking into apps and stuff, I know the excitment won’t return until I know where I’m going. /:

only the first quarter of the year is going to count for me, and it sucks because there’s so little margin for error. one quarter = 3 or 4 tests in each class.

F*** senior year! We finish junior year and shout “woo hoo seniors!” only to realize that senior year is the single hardest year.

Aren’t you going to Yale this fall, ChoklitRain?

Anyways, yeah…gotta stay on top the first half (or first quarter for those doing (SC)EA/ED) of the school year in terms of grades.

I’m only taking three AP courses, not stressed out for senior year or college apps. I’m not that anxious to get out of high school. Do I win?

dear high school,

please end quickly and painlessly.

sincerely,
skywalker23

Why can’t I get started on my essays? I have three more weeks – the last couple of weeks of summer, the PERFECT time to get it done. But I just can’t make myself sit down and do it.

anyone else marooned in Texas? >_<

everyone seems so stressed out

I have to admit I probably do care too much.

Yay Class of 2010!!!

I just want to fast forward to June.

I’m sick of HS and seeing the same people in the same hallways every day of my life. Same teachers, same ******** drama that really won’t matter in less than a year when we never see eachother again.

I like to think of it this way: at least I’m not one of the ones whose life is peaking is HS…I want to peak in college and a few years after and I’ll be good. loll

^ i know what you mean. agh i don’t wanna see some people in school and agh i hope i’ll have a few good teachers this year.

I pretty much know all of my teachers next year so I’m pumped, they’re all awesome. My honors 11th grade English teacher is moving up to AP with us and she’s a total sweetheart/bff/grandma type person, AP chem teacher I somehow became friends with despite never having him and he’s pretty cute. AP bio and calc teachers are both cool from what I’ve heard and talked to briefly and I’ve already had my AP Spanish teacher in the past, so I’m pretty set-teacher wise. They’re all excellent.

But I do want to fast forward to even mid-May. No more APs, no more standardized tests, no more worries about college admissions, nothing. I’ll be smooth sailing and will have only like 2-3 weeks to actually enjoy being a senior and truly terrorize freshmen, bummer. Hmm, I probably shouldn’t be saying that as I’m a freshman mentor… ;)

I have no idea what I’m doing with my essay. None.

Most adults have kept very few High School friends. Friends you keep for latter in life are usually childhood friends, college, and work friends.

lol, it’s nice to finally be a senior.

Waiting till Aug 25 is torture, especially with colleges and everything lol.

As for High School life, I can say I’ll miss most of my teachers and probably visit them. I’d miss a couple of friends too(if I don’t go to UNC or NC State), but for the majority of the people I’ll be so glad that I never have to see them again.

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything but it is a chat thread so I’m just gonna throw this out there. Just found this video. Simply amazing.
