Class of 2010 Senior Year Chat Thread

One week left… ahh… so much summer hmwk.

we start some time early in september. but, ahh, senior year–can’t wait! am i the only one who already can not WAIT for college!? :D

Ahh, 11:46 and I haven’t done any homework. Ugh, hate my life.

LOL

I have so much summer work left.

I start senior year September 1st, so I have plenty of time left to relax and work on my summer reading. Boo for the latter though.

I start the first. And I still need to write an essay for AP Lit and polish up my college essays. I’m really not looking forward to the school year starting (well, kind of, but you know). I think my classes this year will actually be tough and I need to take the ACT again and apply to college.
This is going to be fun.

september 10! ahhh a little less than a month. i havent done any summer homework haha

Wow, a lot of you won’t get out in may as a senior? I thought all high schools did that.

I get out the 15th or something- right after AP week(s) end!

^ mine does! :D

I go back September 8th and get out like May 30th or so. Just in time for Senior Week at OC!!!

We used to get out like May 24th and go in on August 16th-18th until 10th Grade when my school district decided to change it to going in on September 1st-2nd and getting out June 12th-16th in order to “keep up with the rest of America”. The dumbnuts didn’t realize that some of America gets out in May. facepalm

Plus, they decided to start school an hour later and get out 45 min. later. And they introduced uniforms back in 10th Grade. I think we have some child haters on my school board.

our president decides when school ends. depends on our behavior or something like that. its usually around may 20ishh

Does anybody here do year round schooling? I know its out there.

That is super weird. A private school I assume?

smilemyonly You mean governor?

hatersunite, my cousins who live in Atlanta has year round school but they love it. They’ll be in school for two weeks straight then get out for two weeks.

private school for me. we have a president and a principal. weird, i know.

My only main issue with year round schooling is you can’t get anything like a summer job and you can never go brain dead for 2 months. Otherwise it seems pretty sweet. What is it 6 weeks of school and then 2 weeks off? Switching years in late June I assume.

That’s still crazy. There are a bunch of private schools in my area and I’ve never heard of any of them having arbitrary closing dates. The only thing that ever effects that is an excess amount of snow days.

well the president doesnt decide for the underclassmen, that’s usually fixed. just upper.

next year, i’m hoping we use as many snow days as ever though! because even if we use more than four (the usual amount) only the underclassmen have to make up for it!

I think it’s like 2-3 weeks of school straight, then 2 weeks off. They still get out for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
