Class of 2010 Senior Year Chat Thread

^Probably. All the local schools start around the same time here.

i go to catholic school and our first day isn’t until 9/11

10 days left of summer. NOOOOOOOOO

I think 9/11 is our first ‘official’ day. We have a two hour day on the 9th, then skip a day because that’s when the freshman go alone. Then we have a full normal day.

10th is orientation for me. 11th is the first day (technically).

Nice job giving seniors an orientation day and starting school on a friday, our administration is SOO bright.

Start school on a Friday??? lololol

So dumb.

^Actually, I would be happy if my school had done that >< that would count as two days more of summer :D

Anyway, anyone here wants to get the hell out of HS? I’m tired of hearing exaggerated gossips from the freshmen :(

I start senior year on September 9. I’m living up each second until then. ;D

Me, archi92. I’ll snap if I hear one more of my college freshman friends talking about how Utopian college is.

I just wish this year would end already. It hasn’t even begun. But my school is getting annoying now and I just want out.

My schedule isn’t the way I wanted it. AP Calc BC is conflicting with AP English, so I had to take AP Calc AB instead. AP Computer Science was during AP Physics, so I had to drop out of that course entirely. So I’m stuck in AP Calc AB and Intro to Programming, which I don’t want to take. Intro to Programming will be an easy A, since I already have programming knowledge (I took a course this summer). I was hoping to be in AP Calc BC this whole summer too, but English comes easy to me, and I am interested in the subject, so I would rather take that and drop to AB.

But anyways, I am really nervous for the start of school. I already signed up for the October SAT and ACT, I hope I can raise my score, even though I am pretty content with my current scores. Let’s see how it goes, my school starts September 14th!

I’m ready to walk the stage, I’m already sick of it. Just want to go to uni already.

And all the IB stuff due in December + college apps due this fall is stressing me out.

Ahh I’m ready to go to college too! And I start on the 8th… kind of ready for it, but not really looking forward to it.

my school is enforcing dress codes strictly this year. my skirt has to be three inches above my knee. W T F, i don’t even think my skirt has enough material to cover that much skin.

At least you guys don’t have a uniform dress code. While ours are a lot more laxed than other schools, it still sucks to be so limited in clothing.

The freshmen at my school are now separated. We see them rarely. Thank god it wasn’t like that when I was in 9th grade.

But I do wear uniforms! lol. What do you mean “freshmen are now seperated”?

I start school on the 8th. Man, I wish we get like a british foreign exchange student or something. That would be SO cool. Last year we got someone Germany and the year before someone from Spain. They’re always so into soccer :]

They’re on the same campus but they have an entire hall and lunch dedicated to themselves. My school doesn’t have stairs, we have halls, so the only time we see them is before school starts and everyone’s talking in the morning, after school when everyone’s leaving, or in an elective. An upperclassmen may occassionally be on the ‘Freshmen’ lunch but that doesn’t happen too often. They started the program last year.

^I wish my school did that.

We have uniforms too. The skirts have to be one inch above the knee. No one follows that rule. They also tried to outlaw knee socks and make everyone wear tights, then saw it wasn’t going over well, so they put knee socks back on ‘trial status’.

“my school is enforcing dress codes strictly this year. my skirt has to be three inches above my knee. W T F, i don’t even think my skirt has enough material to cover that much skin.”

Typical NJ guidette ska…jk. :)

FWIW, I don’t think own any shorts that don’t go at least 3 inches Under the top of my kneecap. Funny how things work.
