To you who said you were worried about business courses when you get here, don't worry. You'll start off in the basic courses and work your way up. You don't need to take business courses before you come. Don't worry.

Hi, I'm a new member. Georgetown is my number 1, except for the fact that BC is considering me for an amazing scholarship program. I have no idea what's going to happen with that, and I have three more colleges to hear from on April 1. I won't really know where I'm going until April, because of all that. I will be at GAAP weekend in Feb.

I just joined. I'm deferring my admissions for a year... so I'm not technically part of the class of 2010... but you guys wouldn't kick me off :)

I'm definitely coming- my deposit is on the way there right now. I'm also signed up for the open house at the end of March, so I'll see you guys there. Can't wait to move to D.C.!

Georgetown was my very first choice and I am so happy to have been accepted. I hope to see you all there next year!!! I wonder what book they will have us read this summer.

i knew i wanted to go to gtown as soon as i stepped onto the campus...ill be at the gaap weekend this friday, i cant wait to visit the school again =)

The SFS was top of the list for a while...I'm still undecided whether it goes behind my Ivies or not. Guess I'll see on April 1st if I even need to worry about it, because I'm having doubts about getting into anything 'better'.
Isn't the SFS the most specialized you can get on the North American continent? I mean, does anyone know if, academically speaking and in terms of Int'l Pol/Eco and such, Columbia or Brown is better? I've got a feeling they aren't.

Undecided at this point, until I find out from some other places. SFS academically is probably my second choice after Harvard, though socially it is not really in the top (I'd rather go somewhere like NYU or even GW haha). But with IR being my passion... any social/anti-gay reservations I have about the school are probably immaterial... or so I hope. haha.

The whole freshmen class reads the same book and the author comes to Georgetown the first week or so to talk about it. There are discussion groups following that lecture. I think you find out the book in the New Student Guide that you'll be sent end of spring/early summer. Maybe we got a letter before then though...I can't really remember.
