Ran home at lunch and found a "big" white envelope. Called D on her cell at school (luckily she was at lunch and could answer - LOL) and with her permission, opened it and read it. She was Accepted to her first choice major - Print and Multimedia Journalism. Very happy to say the least, as it is and has always been her 1st choice school. Good luck to everyone else who is waiting to hear. Now, we just have to keep our fingers crossed for some decent financial aid.............

My daughter just received her acceptance in the mail. Although she has other acceptances, Emerson is her top choice. She wants to focus on creative writing. Does anyone have information about the program?

I had a defferal letter waiting for me at home this afternoon.

My daughter received her acceptance today. Emerson is her top choice so she's thrilled.
Leontes-Did your d apply to the WLP dept.? That's the dept. my d applied to as well. All I know of it is on the website.

Hello. Yes, apparently Emily did apply to WLP (the letter welcomed her to the Writing-Literature-Publishing department, or something close to that), although I was not aware that apart from the performing arts, one applies to a specific department. Still, it was clear that she wanted to study creative writing, so I guess that was understood at Emerson. We live in southern New Jersey. Where are you?

I was accepted into the Studio Television Production Major!!! Congrats to everyone else who got in.

I got in the film program.

Tyler

I have NOT gotten a letter yet. Very nervous. It turns out that the SAIC [where i took summer classes] never send my transcripts. I've been calling Emerson nervously asking if that means i won't be considered until the regular action program, but they won't answer anything.

And i emailed about the deposit thing, and got this response:
"The only way to know an official answer is to receive the letter in the
mail.
Sincerely,
Natalie

Congrats to everyone who has heard!
Mind posting your stats for a nervous mind? Especially those who heard from WLP?

eeeek. i was hoping the deposit thing would mean a yes. i still haven't heard and my mail comes laaate.

I think it does. I think that was there nice way of telling me that it means one's admitted.

I'm more worried now that i might not even have been considered for EA. AURGH!

In For Film!

Congrats ilovemacbeth! Guess mine is coming tomorrow. I told myself that if I don't get in I won't be upset because it just means there'll be a better place for me somewhere else!

Congrats to those accepted and good luck to those still in the dark!
Anyone been admitted for Marketing Com yet?

My friend was accepted early action into Emerson and the theater program. She also had something that said it's likely she'll get into the honors program but decisions won't be sent until March for honors. Anyone else get into the theater program or have something like that for honors?

My D got in for politcal communications...the mail FINALLLY came

Her friend across the bay is didn't get anything in the mail...so, hopefully tomororrow

i got in!!!!! political communications!! =D

Well, I got in! It's a relief to have somewhere to go next year! Haha, although I was denied for the BA acting theatre program.

It was pretty bittersweet, opening that folder, seeing the Congrats, and then the "We regret to inform you..."

So I don't know if I'll end up at Emerson at all. The Marketing Communications sounds amazing, and that is something I've always been interested in, so I'll have to look more into that program. It all depends on what other schools I get into...

It's been a roller coaster of a day, but I'm just glad to have gotten into Emerson at all.

Congrats to everyone who also got in!

emerson does an amazing amount of production a year....and they can't all be done by theater majors...something to think about

Macbeth, I got in too. email me @ tyedit14@netscape.net and we can talk about being possible classmates. I still have to wait for NYU though... eek.

Anyone know how many film students they accept and out of how many? How proud of myself should I be???

Tyler

Oh my goodness! Congrats to EVERYONE!
I'm really excited for you, and i hope that y'all choose Emerson, 'cause it's the best school in the world^^
