I don't mean to be blunt but the GPA's for EA are significantly lower than that of regular decision applicants. I have a similar GPA and now I'm kind of regretting not applying earlier.

Not always, Mackie. It depends on the year. You can't make that judgment by looking at the stats of seven people here, when there are thousands of applicants. In many years, the applicant pool for E.D. (NYU is not E.A.) has higher stats than the one for R.D. NYU does not have the significant difference in chances for admission that many colleges do for applying early.

GPA is most important in the context of a rank, anyway. For example, my gpa is 1-2 tenths below people who have the same/lesser class rank than I do.
