Yeah I also heard that they don't like if you put Georgetown down on your list of other colleges applied too. <-That was from someone who works for GW so I'm guessing it's somewhat credible.

^^ Not true...S put Gtown down as an "also apply" but still got in. (not to Gtown though)

well i applied to the med prg, so intially it wasn't a safety for me

Woody- my D did the same, and also included a few Ivies. I was worried when she told me that, but she was admitted, and got a Pres. Scholarship, and Honors, and will probably go.

I just said they didn't like it - Not that they wouldn't be accepted. But, I don't think they should even ask or consider it if it could possibly hurt them or sway the adcoms views. I put down some Ivies as well and GW was probably middle of the list, but I was accepted and will be attending.

Congratulations to all those accepted! If you do decide to come to GW, the next four years will, without a doubt, some of the most exciting!

If I got significantly more merit aid from a comparable school ($24k from Miami, invited to interview for $32k), think GW would even consider changing my scholarship? I got $15k and no need-based. I would LOVE to go to GW, but I currently can't afford it.

accepted, etc. to that journalism and communications school. Funny, cause i pulled my essay out of my butt 15 mins before submitting. Oh well! Got a 15K scholarship but it's ranked lower than UC Davis... and UC Berkeley... you're paying for location. shrug prolly not going. Good luck waitlistees! For the most expensive school in america, you're sure to be admitted once people can't pay for g-dub.
