<p>Received the letter here in CA…school knows but has not told us yet (I personally e-mailed my counselors to ask, because I needed to know for application updates)</p>

<p>Is it possible to update/notify NMF status to RD Common App school?</p>
<p>I got the “principal’s letter” yesterday at our homeschool. We live in MD. Still no “student letter” here, though. Even so, anyone on here still wondering…if you did not get rejected, (rejections sent out a full month ago) you have nothing to worry about.</p>
<p>For admissions consideration, if your guidance counselor hasn’t yet sent your Common App Midyear report, you could ask that your NMF status be mentioned there. </p>
<p>For scholarship consideration, you’ll probably need to contact the financial aid office. (Ultimately you’ll normally need to designate a school as your first choice with the NM corporation to actually receive the scholarship, but many schools ask you to inform them of your finalist status informally as well, possibly before you’ve decided on your first choice.)</p>
<p>mathmomvt, Thanks! They sent our MY report in early Jan. So we missed that chance. May be we can just inform the status to couple of the RD schools informally.</p>

<p>The way I figure it, it can’t hurt but probably won’t make much difference either. Assuming they already know you’re a SF, they have your grades and a nice recommendation from your GC, they can pretty much figure out that you’ll have made finalist :)</p>
<p>Hellhorn I heard if you want to update admissions, you should email the admissions office for the school directly. Also I have heard that it should be a one time thing only. So maybe wait a bit if you know you have other things coming up (like I know I have DECA competitions which I should place well in).</p>

<p>Received student letter today in Alabama, no word from public HS but maybe they’re planning to present her certificate at awards night at a later date.</p>
