Essays: (Feelings on Common App and Why Vassar short answer) I was really really proud of my essays. I was really honest and my Why Vassar essay was pretty witty, yet sincere and I think it conveyed how much I loved Vassar. I mentioned the fact that I visited on my birthday this year and basically it was a nightmare to get down and I spent almost the entire day on a bus aside from visiting the school and missed my birthday party, yet it was still SO worth it because being on that campus.. I have never felt anything like that in my life. In my personal essay, I talked about social anxiety and learning that people can change.

Counselor Rec: I didn't read it.

General Comments/Congratulations/etc: We are totally stunned that DJ was accepted. Over the next few weeks, we need to compare it to the three other choices, especially Boston University which offers an intriguing program called "Core" which is a school within a school focusing on studying the original writings and the classics. BU offered my kid a hefty scholarship, this will be a tough one.

Now I just have to make the decision between Vassar and Haverford.

wow that's the exact same decision I have to make....I can't choose

I still haven't gotten an email. Why do I have to wait for the mail?!

Bcplax15 - It's a hard decision. Im kinda leaning towards Haverford, I like their Honor Code and stuff...what about u?

I'm from India too and I mailed them and they said they're sending the decision by post. BUT I'M AN INTERNATIONAL!!!!
WHY, WHY!?!!?

Gayatri7 nephew lives in the uk and got snail mail as well. Envelope arrived today. He's in!

I'm an international and got an email notifying me of my acceptance two days ago. vassar is so great and I love it, but I never once thought I would be accepted (especially after I was rejected by a range of other colleges). Still I haven't got the finaid package yet. I really hope they will meet my need, otherwise I wouldn't be able to go. pray ! Really worried and...excited.
Hope to see u guys there !
