I am GA--maybe I will get it today!! Mail comes in one hour for me. I have never been so obsessed with the mailman in my life...i cannot wait until all this is over.

D is in Mass and it came today - she is still at school so don't know yet what it says.

how bout wisconsin?

Well guys, I hope to wrap up this thing today. That letter better arrives !!. I need to start planning this weekend which med school I am going to be applying to three years from now...

So, I will be getting my letter today. Gah, I am so nervous. I think I might have a crush on mailman..jk. but seriously, i am always so excited to see him, I think he thinks I do...hahhaha.

I hope that I get my letter today...I live in the Chicago area...

Georgetown is my dream school, so hopefully I will get in!!

well, i got my letter, and unfortunately i didnt get in. i guess things happen for a reason, what can i say. i just wasn't qualified i guess. i really wanted to go. for those of you who did get in though, congrats! and for those who are still waiting, i wish you all the best of luck.

blah.
still waiting

I am in Chicago, no letter today.

accepted! so excited!

Were any thin letters acceptances?

yes--there are no large packages sent for acceptances

sorry - yes thin letter definitely bad or yes an acceptance can be thin, too? I'm staring at my son's envelope trying to figure it out.

The mail comes in around 15 minutes.

last year, acceptances were 2 thin letters. 1 thin letter might be a bad sign but they could be doing things differently this year.

Madmax,
Another mom here. A poster on another thread, I think, said the acceptance envelopes have three pages in them, and that the outside page is blue. So maybe it would be a bit thicker?

Good luck to your son!

rejected.. i'm going to vanderbilt

waitlisted...am i the first one on cc?? weirdddd haha
i am determined though, no giving up on gtown just yet :)

i live in long island, ny..and STILL no response :-(

So very sorry to hear about Georgetown, but wanted to let you know that my son's friend just returned from visiting Vanderbilt and absolutely loved it! It became her #1 choice. Unfortunately, she retuened home to learn she had been rejected by Vanderbilt. As a mom, I think you are all terrific candidates and I am so sorry that this wonderful generation of kids has to struggle with this nonsense. Best of luck at Vanderbilt!! (We are still waiting to hear from Georgetown, but after yesterday's news...we are prepared for disappointment.)
