[ *] SAT II: 720 Biology E, 730 Math I, 780 US History
[ *] Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 96/100 (still not sure how that converts but I would assume either 3.8 or 4.0 depending on the scale)
[ *] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): 15/504
[ *] AP (place score in parenthesis): World History: 4, US History: 4, Physics B: 3
[ *] IB (place score in parenthesis): N/A
[ *] Senior Year Course Load: AP Macroeconomics, AP Calc AB, AP Computer Science A, Spanish 5 University, AP Biology
[ *] Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): nothing major besides some school stuff and an AP scholar award

[ *] Extracurriculars : Freshman football, JV/Varsity Outdoor Track 9-12, Varsity Indoor Track 11-12, Latin Club 9-10, Uganda Relief Club 10-11, National Honor Society 11-12

[ *] Job/Work Experience: None

[ *] Volunteer/Community service: Statistician for local youth hockey team 9th-11th, Worked with school administrators as a student representative for the development
of a district-wide digital portfolio program (11th grade)

[ *] Summer Activities: Coached a peewee hockey team during summer before senior year.

[ *] Essays: Thought it was written pretty well. I talked about my journey, both social and academic, towards achieving my dream of attending a prestigious college. Revised it several times.

[ *] Teacher Recommendation: One definitely great, the other was probably good too.
[ *] Counselor Rec: No idea, but I would assume it was well-written.
[ *] Additional Rec: None
[ *] Interview: N/A

[ *] State (if domestic applicant): NY
[ *] Country (if international applicant): n/a
[ *] School Type: Public
[ *] Ethnicity: Caucasian
[ *] Gender: Male
[ *] Income Bracket: Less than 150,00
[ *] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): none

[ *] Strengths: ACT, rank, gpa, SAT IIs
[ *] Weaknesses: SAT I, and I wasn’t too sure if my ECs were sufficient.

[ *] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I felt that I was a very well-rounded applicant (and talked about that in my essay). The fact that I took the hardest classes offered at my school every year and did pretty well on my standardized tests, definitely helped me tremendously.

[ *] Where else were you accepted/waitlisted/rejected: accepted at Fordham, deferred at Notre Dame

General Comments: Really excited about my admission! BC was my top choice and there’s a great chance that I’ll be attending in the fall!

Decision: Deferred - CSOM

Stats:
•SAT (Breakdown + Combined): 700 CR, 690 M, 640 W
•SAT IIs (if any): 710 Math 1, 710 USH, awaiting Math II and Lit (find out Thursday so obviously they didn’t see)
•Unweighted GPA: 3.87
•Weighted GPA: ~4.35
•Rank (if applicable): 32/320 (not accurate though b/c transferred after frosh year, should be ~15)
•Other stats: 30 on ACT but didn’t submit

Subjective:
•Essays: CommonApp was great
•ECs: Really involved with golf & tennis (captain for both, some other leadership stuff and awards)
•Teacher Recs: Really good, I think
•Counselor Rec: Not sure
•Hook (if any): Not really
Location/Person:
•State or Country: Pennsylvania
•School Type: Public
•Ethnicity: White
•Gender: Male

Other Factors: None I can think of

General Comments: Kind of ****ed off. I thought accepting students was about the fit for that college, and I fit the BC stereotype. I’m white, play golf and tennis, and am pretty preppy. Oh well, BC is off my list now anyway. I’ll be attending either Michigan or Georgetown in the fall.

accepted to CAS, invited to honors program!
Just wondering, do people get notification of receiving the Presidential Scholarship with their acceptance? Or does it come later? Really wondering about my slim chance of getting it!

International applications- did anyone get an email or package yet? Does anyone know how they send the results to international students???

I have only seen 1 CSON student accepted. Any other nursing students accepted. Deferred? STATS?
