@stsikor:
If you are asking about international studies, some freshman may be undecided, but most probably have a major (probably something relating to their desired field in int. studies). You have to declare a political science major for instance in order to sign-up for the intro political science courses, so many future political science concentrators begin as political science majors. The econ tracks in IS are usually econ majors beforehand as well.

I believe the IS website has some course guidelines on for freshmen hoping to apply later.

If you do not get in, you cannot join the major, and you will have to choose a different major, or pursue and IS minor.

@EagleAlum that’s quite scary. Thanks by the way!

Ah I forgot to turn in the CSS profile by Nov 15 so…guess I’m doing my other apps too…sigh.

Hi, I’m really stressed out. I’m an MA Senior and I still haven’t gotten any letters yet! But I just signed onto my Agora Portal and my applicant status says “pay your deposit” and “defer your admission” and “withdraw your admission”, there is a new tab that says “financial aid notification” and a tab that says, “My ResLife” and “Orientation Registration”. Does this mean I got in? I’m really worried because I live so close to the campus and haven’t heard anything. Does anyone know?

General Comments: wanted to go to BC all my life, my top school (realistically), loved it forever and SO EXCITED THAT I’M IN!!! good luck to everyone!

I’d like to perhaps clarify what appears to be a common topic on this thread, in case it would be helpful. BC admissions does not base admission to the university on the internal school to which an applicant is applying. In other words, applying to the School of Education, CSOM, A&S, and Nursing does not help or hurt your chances of admissions. They take the best students, and they allow them to fall where they may, and schools, for better or for worse, have to make adjustments to accommodate an unusually high influx of students in any given year. Of course, a compelling case for why someone wants to be a nurse or for why someone wants to be in business or in education, as reflected in the application, may help someone’s chances. But, admissions are not conducted separately for each school.

WHSSENIOR12- I’m in the same situation. I live 15 miles away and no letter yet but I had those changes on my Agora Portal too. I’m so frustrated. I tried calling and they told me to call back Thursday. >.<

I just called the admissions office…they said that everyone is seeing the changes to their portal. So back to freaking out. yayay.

Okay, never mind to he excitement of seeing the new changes. I cannot wait til January 8 th I am freaking out!!!

I still haven’t gotten a letter either. Does anyone know if the presidential scholars get their letter later with the psp info? Just wishful thinking.

This is agonizing!!!
