<p>No, it's not a big jump in yield. I mean, you can't compare yield figured at this point in the summer with published yield figures which are based on actual fall enrollment. U-M always has some summer melt; the final class won't be 6,045 and the final yield will be something less than what you might currently figure.</p>
<p>I don't track historical yield rates, but i don't think I've seen Michigan's yield at 48% before. I would think less than 3% of those that send their enrollment deposits will go elsewhere by the end of the summer.</p>

<p>the way i see it...Michigan couldn't finish looking at all the applications on time because they had too many applications this year, so, they put whoever they couldn't look at in the Highest-priority waitlist to buy them more time...and then, released decisions after looking at these people's applications and that's why they released the numbers on the 5th- when they were done reviewing and those on the waitlist were accepted/rejected...that's how i see it... but i was accepted off that waitlist group on the 2nd so im not complaining.. :)</p>

<p>If you guys get in this late, you're going to be stuck with a very late orientation date (ie crappy classes) and horrible housing, probably bursley or baits. It might just be better to transfer over next year even if you do get off the waitlist.</p>
<p>what do u mean crappy classes? if i want an intro to econ , computer science and maths classes, ur saying i wont be able to get those?</p>
<p>if you're taking mostly intro classes, your orientation date doesn't really matter. You might not get the specific sections/times you want, but you shouldn't have too much of a problem getting into those classes.</p>
