Class of 2012 from Nepal

guys, could u refer to me by just Jason!!! Jason Shah sounds as if some one has scolded me…haha… :D

I am planning for BCE. Its supposed to have a good job record.

no posts since long to push this thread out of page 1.
happy that i brought it again to page 1

Can i leave a college to which i have enrolled for the college to which i have waitlisted( i.e if i am admitted later)? will my enrolllment fee br refunded?

Yes you can.

No it wont. If you really plan to do so, try requesting your college’s finaid office to waive your enrollment deposit. Give them ample reasons of financial burden. Hopefully they will comply.

Hey, how many of you have been waitlisted at Grinnell?

@jacobs acceptance
where have you all been studying german language (round 2) acceptance. i think gothe doesnt accept in middle. do any of you have plans to pursue c++. do pm me or draj.

you can study c++ on your own man, it’s not that difficult. download books from internet, of course, illegal but who cares, at least in nepal, and more you can download video tutorials in for c++, i have found 3 good tutorials package. downloaded 1 and will download 2 next week. i am planning to learn c++ this way. actually it depends on mood.

if you think this is one alternative , i can help.

@tufty
what are you doing in preparation for BCE…
mccclii!!! where are you going to learn german???

renaitsme!!!
were u there in bbc have your say???

wow really???what was the discussion about and how did you participate?

There are two certified places to learn German

 1. Goethe Zentrum Kathmandu
 2. Bishwobhasa

Goethe has already started its session and the new intakes will be in july 11

I think Bishwo bhasa will be the option for others. There are a lot of institutes giving German lessons and if u do not care for the certificate and want to just learn German then u may go to any. But German embassy certifies only the above 2 mentioned places. For those going to Jacobs I don’t think the accredited certificate matters so take language classes wherever is available. And remember its not a compulsion but just a addition to your resume.

And yeah those who have already chosen Jacobs as their sole destination please keep in touch. good luck!@!

katmandude:
I was not in BBC!

this thread is not very active nowadays. I hope it will regain its momentum when the waitlisted friends will get colleges. Best of luck to everyone waiting for the waitlist decisions…
