Class of 2012 from Nepal

I heard the guy from RBS who got into Reed will be attending Haverford.

Does anyone know how long a round trip ticket will remain valid? Meaning, if I book a ticket stating that I will be returning in May 2009, can I return in June or July or sth like that?

^^ I too want to know this. And I also want to know if the colleges refund the cost of such a ticket.

@bocca, you must return on the date indicated on your round trip ticket but if you plan to postpone your trip you can do it by paying some money to the airlines.
@ skunk, ask your college.

How many have already finished immunizations and physical examinations?

i heard that the return ticket is a type of assistance which will help an international student to spend summer vacation without any difficulty. The plane ticket can also be exchanged for a cash of 2500 to 3000 k.

I still have to take the MMR vaccine… got 4 injections this week.

I got 3..still 7 left :(!!

we need 10 vaccinations?
extinction, would you mind naming them

@Jasonshah
Today’s article was a good read, much much better than the previous one.Very nicely concluded.

Which paper?

i didn’t mean 10 vaccination but a total of 10 doses …that was in my case

MMR
DT
chicken pox
tuberculosis
hepatitis B (3 doses)
hepatitis A (2 doses)
forgot the last one it was pneumonia or something!!

Is there a vaccine for tuberculosis?
I thought the injection they gave was a test to identify whether a person is a carrier of TB.

@skunk
The Kathmandu Post, the page where we normally get to read Abhi Subedi’s articles.

extinction, you might want to add meningococus to that list too

@bocca BCG is the vaccine for tuberculosis which was already taken during childhood. And nobody took the most important MENINGOCOCAL VACCINE. Almost every college says that Meningococal and Hepatitis vaccine are the most important one.

did u even sleep skunk?

thanks for the correction, manasm

snakeEyes when are we taking that vaccine???

donno, i still need a week’s rest before i’m ready to get vaccinated

Thanks manasm. I wonder how I’ll fare in the placement tests, can’t remember a thing.

Is there anyone else for whom the Meningococcal vaccine is only recommended and not required? And anyone else who thinks revising for your placement tests would be a good idea? Or just write what you know and be placed in a class full of dumb jocks?
