just joined CC... I am class of 2012 from Nepal. Anybody pls tell me whether u need to get your scores before you send your Application Forms or not. Can we send our SAT scores after we send our application package, of course within the deadline?

You can send in your application before you get your SAT scores..just mention the date you will be taking your SAT or if have already taken it but haven't received the score report..you can always send it after the deadline...coz the only thing that is actually due in the deadline are your application and the recommendation letters....

Vassar is a definitely a good liberal arts college which usually gives a lot of financial aid to international students but for some reason I can't help thinking that it isn't the strongest for sciences....for usually it is known for subjects like theaters and drama and those kind of stuff...but..again..it's my personal opinion...

PS: I too applied to Vassar in ED...got deferred then rejected :)

Thanks shail691
But my SAT subject test scores will be available only by first week of December and the college where I'm thinking of applying early requires SAT subject tests. Won't that be too late since they respond to the ED application by mid december. Should I be looking for some other college, which do not require SAT subject tests, for ED ?

good for u shail that u didn't get into vassar. I hear tht u r enjoyin at lafayette with a huge scholarship.:)
Is the physics program at lafayette good? Are u the exception or are all internationals treated as well?

anyone, please post about the app process at IUB

Simple there are 4 rounds.
Round 1 -December
Round 2- Feb
Round 3- March
Round 4-June/July (not sure abt it)

If you apply in round 2 or 3 there is higg chances of getting admitted. Financial aids I heard are on need blind basis. Ask the admission dept to send app form. I already got one.

and app procedure is same as applyin to US colleges.

Congrats Rena-itsme your thread has become official

thanks manasm. so to apply along with rd i have to apply in round 3?

Will 3 years degree form IUB be accepted by other US Universities for further graduate studies ??

Yup..JUB follows US system..
Always try and apply in 1st or 2nd round...Third round is a bit tough...
Aid is good..

4th round is not (Recommended) for internationals..Although you can apply..(But then, you will be in VISA troubles)..

manasm:
thanks.
I have heard that IUB is liberal for nepalese nationals. If that is true, it will always be a good option for us!

3 years at JUB is equal to 4 years at any Us colleges. Research from first day. They've got very tough curriculum

Will the 3-2 aid be transferred guys. When movin from LAC to bigger Univ

do u guys know any colleges that accept attested photocopy of SAT score report?

Nope...Not in US (As far as I know)..

I am not applying to JUB

Who asked you?..:p..

I remember you telling me I should :p
