I just checked the stats for Dartmouth at collegeboard.com and it says that 6-7% have SAT scores between 500-599 (pr section). What kind of students are enrolled despite their low SAT scores? athletes, or just regular students with good grades and recommendations that didn't do well on the SAT? Anyone got any ideas?

I'm guessing it's athletes, or applicants with major hooks.

My son's friend who was deferred from ED was just informed he has been admitted for the fall 08 term. An acceptance letter is to follow this week. Looks like the author of that book( I read it too) may not actually know the facts of today addmission. My son's GC has been notified, so I know this is fact about my son's friend. Good luck for all who wants to be where they want to be.

Likely People: Has your login menu changed? Mine has lost the Undergrad Student Menu and only has the Undergrad Applicant Menu left. (I have NOT rec'd a likely...YET!) It was prob. just an error that they had the enrollment priorities thing up there anyway and just corrected it----

I replied to your other post :)

I AM stalking the mailman...

I'm in Texas, so I'm hoping it just took a while for the mail to get here? Or perhaps I'm in another wave? (I'm in LL denial.)

same! I'm in Europe though so it would take a LL a long time to get here... but I can just picture myself in June wondering if my LL got lost in the mail, haha. I'm optimistic to a fault :)

Those who received the LL's... did you get any other LL's from other schools?

Got the equivalent of LLs from UC Berkeley, LA, SD. Did not get one from Columbia or Stanford (but didn't expect to).

congrats guys, you must be pretty stoked right about now.

Defffinitely. And thanks! :)
